Introduction: Dreaming of Europe
When Vani and I (Gaurav Singhal) finally came up with a plan for the long-awaited European holiday, we were well aware that it had to be big. Not a vacation, not only a vacation, but a memory, a vacation without stress, without its problems and diverse figures.
Month after month of searching, comparing and asking around, we have finally bought the Exclusive 14-Day Italy Tour with SegvTours.com in February 2024. We both guessed we did the right thing as we were both certain when we left on 9th May.
The whole of Barcelona, the entirety of Rome, the brilliance of Capri, all the forests of Tuscany, and each day was a day to our name.
Barcelona: A Perfect Beginning
This was in Barcelona, Spain, and this was our warm-up before Italy. The city stunned us with its blend of contemporary buildings and the Gothic streets of the old town.
It was a surreal interior of Sagrada Familia. The reason is that pictures fall short of the emotion of being there, looking up at the masterpiece that Gaudí did.
SegvTours already offered a Flamenco dinner stage performance, and that evening turned out to be one of the favourite ones. The dancing, music, and food made it seem like a pure celebration.
We also had an excursion to Costa Brava and Girona. The circumstances of the coast of Costa Brava were exquisite, and Girona caused us to feel as though we were in the usual Europe in the Middle Ages. That circle of culture, leisure, and fun actually preconditioned the remainder of our trip.
Rome & The Vatican: History in Real Life
We leapt, as we left Spain, into Rome, the Eternal City. And wow, SegvTours had everything planned so perfectly that we did not spend a minute.
Any act of walking into the Colosseum and the Roman Forum made it seem that history was alive. Guided tours were everything – the anecdotes, the emphasis and underlay, the understanding you never get in guidebooks.
Then came the Vatican. The Sistine Chapel actually made us shiver. The painting, the quietness of it, the sheer enormity of it – it doesn’t leave you indifferent. That was the end of the day in St. Peter’s Basilica.
Rome and the Vatican offered us all culture, historical details and a feeling of awe which remained with us many a long time after our departure.
Sorrento & Capri: Living the Dream
Next stop: Sorrento and Capri. Frankly speaking, this episode of the tour seemed to be a romantic movie.
Even the ride on the train to Naples, followed by the drive to Sorrento, was beautiful in itself. Having landed in Sorrento, we slowed down, enjoyed the casual atmosphere, the views of the sea, and the tiny cafes.
The boat tour of Capri that lasted four hours was magical. Gazing beyond cliffs and caves with the clear water twinkling in the sunlight – it was the most romantic experience of our lives.
We even got a free day visiting Amalfi and Positano. Gelato, block-long lanes, dotted houses, sea breeze – it was like everything you dream about Italy. The fact that we could simply take our own time to explore was invaluable.
Florence & Tuscany: Art, Wine & Countryside Magic
We occasionally approached the shore and went over to Florence, the very centre of the Renaissance. It is a city that is more or less an open-air museum. Our favourites were the piazzas, the art, and the vivacity of the roads.
SegvTours had incorporated a Tuscany day trip to Pisa, Siena and San Gimignano. And the character of these towns was different, Pisa with the Leaning Tower, Siena so medieval and San Gimignano with towers back in another century.
The best part? Tuscan lunch paired with wine. It was literally a first and second dream moment sitting in a vineyard and sipping local wine and fresh Italian food. The experience of Tuscany provided a visitor with the most authentic Italy of the journey.
Milan: Wrapping Up in Style
The final destination was Milan, and SegvTours maintained it to be swanky and leisurely.
We went to the beautiful Duomo di Milano, had a shopping session, and explored the pavement at a leisurely pace. Milan was viewed as a more contemporary and elegant place and was the antithesis of the history-filled days prior.
The few days off we spent here allowed us to reflect upon the experience, absorb all the remaining Italy, and simply enjoy the present, and then it was time to head home.
Why We Loved SegvTours
The whole journey was without any hitches, literally speaking, because SegvTours handled everything so well. They ensured that we never cared about logistical or time constraints.
- Instructors were captivating and learned.
- There was no hurrying and no dullness in the itinerary.
- Hotels and transfers were efficient and good.
- The all-time help gave us a sense of security and care.
This was the assumption that SegvTours had already thought of all the details, so we could just have fun.

Conclusion: Why We Recommend SegvTours
In hindsight, we can only say that we just trusted SegvTours. They made our Europe dream come true in every detail that counted.
Thinking about Italy, Spain or basically any overseas travel, there is no need to deliberate. SegvTours is not the kind of company that organises the trips – they create the adventures that are unique and memorable.
These 14 days were the best we could have wished for, and more so in our case. And we may well say that we would tour with SegvTours in a minute.
