On arrival at Cairo International Airport, proceed to a city-centre hotel in Cairo for check-in.
Cairo, the capital of Egypt, is the largest city in the Middle East and Africa, built along the River Nile with a rich blend of ancient heritage and modern life. The city is renowned for its stunning Islamic architecture and is often called the City of a Thousand Minarets. It also preserves its Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo, a district considered sacred due to its association with biblical history.
Spend the rest of the day exploring Cairo independently, taking in its lively markets, historic streets, and unique energy.

After breakfast at hotel, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Cairo.
Start the day with a visit to the Egyptian Museum. This world-famous museum houses an extensive collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the legendary treasures of King Tutankhamun. The museum provides valuable insights into the civilization’s art, culture, and royal history.
Later, proceed to visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Built in the 14th century, this historic marketplace is filled with narrow lanes and traditional shops offering perfumes, jewellery, textiles, and antiques, showcasing Cairo’s timeless trading culture.
After that, proceed to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza. These monumental tombs of ancient pharaohs are the only surviving wonder of the ancient world and stand as a testament to Egypt’s architectural mastery. Explore the interior chamber where the mummified remains of the ruler were once kept.
Next, proceed to visit the Sphinx. Carved from a single limestone block, the Sphinx features a human head and a lion’s body and is believed to be a guardian figure connected to the ancient sun god.
Later, proceed to enjoy the Sound and Light Show at the pyramids complex, presenting the history of ancient Egypt through dramatic lighting and narration.
SEGV RECOMMENDATION: Visit the Papyrus Museum to learn about ancient papyrus-making techniques and admire handmade artworks created using this traditional material.

After breakfast at hotel, check out and board a flight to Aswan. On arrival, proceed to the dock and check in to the Nile Cruise.
Aswan, located at Egypt’s southern frontier, served historically as a military garrison and a major trade gateway along the Nile. Its granite quarries supplied stone for some of Egypt’s greatest monuments, including parts of the Pyramids of Giza. Today, Aswan is admired for its serene landscapes, Nubian culture and ancient treasures.
After check-in, proceed to visit Aswan High Dam. Built to control the Nile’s annual flooding, the dam plays a major role in Egypt’s irrigation and hydroelectric power.
Later, proceed to visit the Unfinished Obelisk. This massive granite piece demonstrates the techniques used by ancient Egyptians to carve monumental structures and remains a key archaeological site.
Proceed to visit the Temple of Philae. Dedicated to Goddess Isis, this elegant temple was relocated from its original submerged site to preserve its architecture and religious importance.
SEGV RECOMMENDATION: Visit the colourful Nubian Village to explore its vibrant houses, taste traditional cuisine and interact with the friendly local community.

After breakfast at hotel, enjoy the cruise sailing towards Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, disembark and proceed to visit the Temple of Sobek and Horus.
The Temple of Kom Ombo is uniquely dedicated to two deities—Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. The temple’s dual design reflects the belief in balancing opposing powers. The site also includes the Crocodile Museum, home to rare mummified crocodiles discovered around the region.
SEGV RECOMMENDATION: Early morning optional excursion to Abu Simbel. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features two monumental temples carved into a sandstone cliff during the reign of Ramses II. The main temple is guarded by four colossal statues of the king, while the Temple of Queen Nefertari is dedicated to Goddess Hathor.

After breakfast at hotel, disembark at Edfu and proceed to visit the Temple of Edfu.
Dedicated to the god Horus, this remarkably well-preserved temple was built during the Ptolemaic period and remained protected under desert sand for centuries. Its hieroglyphs depict rituals, festivals and myths of ancient Egypt.
Return to the cruise and sail towards Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, disembark for a sightseeing tour of the East Bank.
Luxor, once the ancient capital Thebes, is known as the world’s greatest open-air museum for its enormous temples and royal tombs. Divided by the Nile into the living east and burial west, Luxor preserves the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization.
Proceed to visit Karnak Temple. Built over more than 2,000 years by multiple pharaohs, this vast complex is one of the most important religious centres of ancient Egypt.
Later, proceed to visit Luxor Temple. Constructed to honour pharaonic kingship rather than a deity, the temple hosted major ceremonies including coronations and festivals.

After breakfast at hotel, check out from the cruise and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Luxor’s West Bank.
Start with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon. These two massive stone statues once guarded the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III and remain among Luxor’s most iconic monuments.
Later, proceed to visit the Valley of the Kings. This ancient necropolis contains the elaborate tombs of pharaohs from the New Kingdom era, with walls decorated in detailed mythological scenes.
Next, proceed to visit the Temple of Hatshepsut. Built by one of Egypt’s earliest female rulers, this impressive terraced temple stands against dramatic cliffs and reflects refined architectural design.
Proceed to visit the Valley of the Queens. This burial site for queens, princesses and royal children features beautifully decorated tomb chambers symbolising protection and rebirth.
