Austria’s capital, Vienna, is situated on the Danube River in the east of the nation. Mozart, Beethoven, and Sigmund Freud were among the people who helped to shape the city’s cultural and intellectual legacy. The city is renowned for its Imperial palaces, which include Schönbrunn, the summer home of the Habsburgs. Works by Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, and other painters are on display in ancient and modern buildings in the Museums Quartier neighbourhood.

Today after breakfast, start your exploration of Austria’s capital. An easy way to see Vienna is with a hop-on, hop-off bus tour. You can ride and get off at any of the 35 stops at your own pace. Make sure to check out the Old Town shops along the Graben. One of Vienna’s most well-known squares, the Graben, is located in the city’s first district. Beside the Palais Equitable, it starts at Stock-im-Eisen-Platz and ends at the intersection of Kohlmarkt and Tuchlauben. Tiefer Graben is the name of a different street in the first neighbourhood.
Later, stop by one of the renowned Vienna cafes. At Café Sacher, try the original Sacher cake, and dine well at one of Vienna’s bistros, or Beisl as they are known locally. Spend the night at the Vienna hotel.
