Surrounded by rolling green hills, Kigali offers a perfect introduction to Rwanda’s culture, hospitality, and scenic beauty. Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, complete immigration formalities and proceed for a comfortable transfer to the hotel.
Later, spend the remaining day at leisure and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the city. Kigali is well known for its vibrant cafés, art centers, and panoramic hilltop views, making it an ideal destination to relax before beginning the primate safari adventure.

After breakfast at hotel, proceed for a Kigali city tour and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre before transferring to Volcanoes National Park.
Proceed to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, one of the country’s most important historical landmarks dedicated to the memory of the victims of the 1994 genocide. After breakfast at hotel, proceed for gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
Proceed to the park headquarters for an early morning briefing before starting the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience inside Volcanoes National Park. The park is globally celebrated for protecting the endangered mountain gorillas and offers one of the world’s most extraordinary wildlife encounters. Trek through dense bamboo forests, volcanic slopes, and scenic jungle trails in search of a habituated gorilla family. Upon locating the gorillas, spend one hour observing their behavior, family interactions, and natural habitat while capturing memorable photographs.
Later, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, proceed to visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, a cultural center dedicated to preserving Rwanda’s traditional heritage and community lifestyle. The village offers an immersive cultural experience through traditional dances, local music performances, storytelling sessions, and demonstrations of ancient hunting and farming techniques practiced by local communities.

After breakfast at hotel, proceed for golden monkey trekking before transferring back to Kigali.
Proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and later begin the golden monkey trekking experience inside Volcanoes National Park. The golden monkeys are rare and endangered primates known for their vibrant golden-orange fur, playful nature, and swift movement through the bamboo forests of the Virunga Mountains. The trekking experience offers a scenic rainforest walk with opportunities to observe these energetic primates in their natural habitat while enjoying breathtaking volcanic landscapes.
Later, return to the lodge for lunch and proceed towards Kigali. Depending on flight timings, enjoy a brief city exploration or shopping experience before proceeding towards Kigali International Airport for the scheduled departure flight, marking the end of the Rwanda safari adventure.
