Stroll around the compact town center, explore local shops, or relax while taking in sweeping views of the surrounding Arctic landscape. Longyearbyen also offers opportunities to spot reindeer roaming freely in the area.

After breakfast at hotel, proceed for a guided sightseeing tour of Longyearbyen.
Begin with a visit to the historic coal mines that laid the foundation of Longyearbyen’s development. Learn about the mining community and its significance in shaping the town’s identity. Continue to the local research center that highlights current Arctic exploration and environmental studies.
Later, proceed to visit Svalbard Church, the northernmost church in the world, offering a peaceful retreat amidst icy landscapes. Drive past the famous Global Seed Vault, a secure facility preserving seeds from across the globe for future generations. View the vault from the outside while learning about its global importance.

After breakfast at hotel, depart for a full-day fjord cruise along the northern coastline of Isfjorden.
Sail through icy waters while admiring Svalbard’s dramatic coastal scenery. Pass by the Diabasodden cliffs, known for their thriving bird colonies. This area is also a popular site to spot seals resting on ice floes and whales swimming along the fjord—an ideal day for Arctic wildlife observation.
Later, continue toward Bohemanflya where a guide will narrate Svalbard’s coal mining legacy and stories of early explorers who braved these frozen territories. A local Arctic lunch will be served onboard during the cruise.
Return to Longyearbyen by evening and relax at the hotel.

After breakfast at hotel, set off on a cruise to Billefjorden and the Nordenskiöld Glacier.
Travel across the fjord to witness the towering blue walls of Nordenskiöld Glacier, one of the most active and accessible glaciers in Svalbard. The glacier is known for its crevasses and the deep, thunderous sounds of ice breaking off into the sea—an unforgettable Arctic experience.
Later, proceed to visit the ghost town of Pyramiden. Once a thriving Soviet coal mining settlement, it was abandoned in 1998 and has remained frozen in time ever since. Explore the eerily preserved buildings while a Russian guide shares insights into Soviet life in the Arctic, adding a unique layer of history to the journey. A traditional Arctic lunch will be provided onboard during the cruise.
Return to Longyearbyen by evening for overnight stay at hotel in Longyearbyen.
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your return flight to India.
