TOUR Itinerary
On arrival at Tromsø Airport, you will be greeted by our local representative in Norway for a brief meet and greet. Later, proceed to the city centre hotel in Tromsø for check-in.
Tromsø, which seems like a small suburb with mountains and fjords, is the largest urban area in Northern Norway and the cultural hub of the region. It is home of the world’s northernmost university, brewery, cathedral and botanical garden. The sun does not shine at all between November to January and there is midnight sun in summers.

After breakfast at your hotel, proceed for a city tour of Tromsø.
You will begin the tour with a cable car ride to the top of Storsteinen mountain which offers a panoramic views of the entire city. The Tromso cable car, also called Fjellheisen , is a popular spot for enjoying the views, especially during the midnight sun and Northern Lights. Next, we head to Noway’s largest planetarium and watch the film – Extreme Aurors – which explains the phenomenon that causes the ethereal Northern Lights.
In the evening, we will head out for aurora hunting. We shall drive to areas around Tromsø with highest chances for clear skies. Once we find clear skies and stars, we will wait for the Aurora while we get our cameras ready for the big moment.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Kiruna. Enroute we shall visit Icehotel 365 in Jukkasjärvi.

Afterwards, we will transfer to the hotel in Kiruna and proceed for check-in.
Located 200 kms north of the Arctic Circle, Kiruna is the northernmost town located in the Swedish Lapland. The town is renowned for vast areas of great natural beauty that invite to outdoor activities during both summer and winter. From Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, to Sweden’s highest mountain, Kebnekaise, and to the world’s largest underground iron ore mine – Kiruna has something for everyone. It has been named by Lonely Planet as the best place in the world to experience the northern lights.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Rovaniemi. Upon arrival, transfer to Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi and check-in.
Rovaniemi is the administrative capital of the Finland’s Northern most province – Lapland. It is also known as the official hometown of the Santa Claus. The city was destroyed during the World War II. But it was rebuilt to a plan by Alvar Aalto, with the major streets in the shape of a reindeer’s head and antlers! Apart from the stunning Santa Claus village, the city boasts of witnessing the magical northern lights and riverside location.
After freshening we shall explore the fantastic Santa Claus village on our own. This place has an exciting array of activities for both children and adults. You can enjoy a warm cup of coffee or get yourself clicked with the Santa. You can visit the museums, Santa’s workshop, post a letter from santa’s post office or just immerse in the knowledge of various Christmas traditions around the World!

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy the husky sledding or reindeer sleigh experience (Any one of the two).
Both reindeer and huskies are integral to the Arctic way of life. The snowy landscapes, coupled with the picturesque scenes of reindeer or huskies pulling sleds, provide excellent opportunities for photography.
Afterwards, proceed to Ranua Wildlife Park for a day visit. This 40 year old zoo specialises in arctic animals and has about 150 animals including Finland’s only polar bear, snowy owl, musk deer and wolves. Learn about the zoo conservation efforts while interacting with these exotic animal species. The park takes care of injured animals and tries to return them to the wild.

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel, and proceed for a long drive to Saariselkä. On this route you will experience the beauty of Finnish Lapland, both the tundra and the small villages along the way.
Once there, we will check-in our hotel with glass igloos. The glass igloos are a magical way to experience the wintry star-filled sky and the Northern Lights, while lying comfortably in the warm bed. The hotel is a perfect escape to the lap of nature for the urban guest. Glass-roofed igloos offer their guests a view of the rugged fell landscape and the night sky.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Ivalo airport to catch a flight to Helsinki.
The World Design Capital for 2012 and venue for 1952 Summer Olympics, Helsinki, was named as the World’s most livable city in 2011 by British Magazine Monocle. It is the largest city of Finland and is made of a large archipelago of islands. The city attract tourists from all over the World due to its sea facing landscape, Nordic cuisine, diverse architecture and rich history.
Upon arrival, we will proceed for a guided panoramic sightseeing tour of Helsinki City. During the tour, we will drive by Hietalahden Kauppahalli, Senate Square, Helsinki Cathedral, Uspenskin Katedraali, Temppeliaukio Church, Sibelius Monument, Central Library Oodi, etc.

After breakfast, proceed to the pier and board the ferry to Tallinn.
Tallinn is the capital of Estonia, a region at the centre of military conquest by neighbouring countries including Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Russia due to its strategic location. The country claimed independence from USSR in 1991. This city boasts of having the highest number of start-ups per person in Europe! And it was named the European Capital of Culture in 2011. The city offers something to everyone who wants a mix of modern world with rich cultural experience.
During the panoramic tour, we will see a number of Estonian Landmarks from outside. For example, Kadriorg Palace which was built by Peter the Great of Russia for his wife, Catherine I, in 1718. You will also see Toompea Castle which has been the seat of power from which all foreign rulers of Estonia have ruled the country since 9th century. And today, it is home to the Parliament of Estonia. You will also visit Freedom Square and Town Hall square. This place has been the social heart of the Estonia since middle ages. Here you will have some free time to enjoy open air cafes and shop your heart out at various stalls.
Afterwards, we will return to Helsinki by ferry for overnight stay.
