Best time to visit Uluru

The enormous sandstone monolith located to the north of ‘red centre’ is well-known for its rock paintings and revered by the native Australians. Numerous petroglyphs, layers of symbols, and figures painted on top of each are also found at this sacred site. Anangu education units use these sites. The 36 red-rock domes of the Kata Tjuta formation, often known as “The Olgas,” are located inside the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

If you go to Uluru, you can take a walk around it on the Uluru Base Walk–this is an awesome walk indeed as you will see ancient rock art sites as well as waterholes and caves that really matter to these people. Additional exploration chances are available at Kata Tjuta, a nearby site featuring 36 dome-like formations and such an attractive walk as Valley of the Winds. An information centre in Uluru-Kata Tjuta reveals secrets of Anangu people’s life as seen through their art, history or traditional works.
